Rebecca gave a deposition in the widow’s pension application of Jenny Gardner in which she stated that she and Richard were cousins and fellow servants. According to her testimoney she left for Yorktown in 1862, probably following the Union Army when it retreated to the lower pensinsula from Harrison’s Landing in AUG 1862. Rebecca also stated that she served as an army nurse. Rebecca married Alexander Randollph in 1869. Sometimes their surname appears in the records as Randol. U.S. Army Invalid #1030800
