Applied for a pension in 1818, over 70 years of age and a resident of Casey County, Kentucky. Documents in his file state that he enlisted in 1776 (or two years after the war commenced) under John BELL for the whole war and served till 1783; he was in the 2nd Virginia under Col. Nathaniel PARKER; was in the battle of Brandywine and wounded in four places; was at the taking of Stoney Point; he was by occupation a tiller of the earth and very inform from war wounds; his family consisted of his wife, aged 60, and a married daughter, aged 29 and living in Virginia; died 03 OCT 1835.
