Ensign of a company of minute battallion formed SEP 1775; Lieutenant in the 6th Virginia Regiment wounded by a musket ball in the left knee at the Battle of Brandywine born circa 1757; died 09 NOV 1840; widow Margaret PATTERSON received 2;666 2/3 acres of bounty land. Served at Valley Forge in the 6th VA. Listed “Fit for Duty” from Dec. 1777 though Jun. 1778.
